About the event
Our Marine Corps League-South Coast Detachment is holding its 248th Marine Corps Birthday Ball Celebration Extraordinaire on Saturday, December 2nd at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa from 5:00PM – 11:00PM. This Ball, like no other you have attended, will be steeped in tradition, pomp and ceremony and will be capped off with a First Class, Elegant, Gourmet Dinner.
The Program will include the marching on of the colors-presentation of the Birthday Cake, the reading of General Lejeune’s Birthday Message, the playing of the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ Video Message and the cutting of the cake as shared by the Oldest and Youngest Marine present. There will also be a Champagne Toast to the Marine Corps.
During the Assembly Period, tray served Hors d’ Oeuvres will be offered along with your selection of Top Shelf Cocktails (No Host Bar). The Plated Dinner will consist of a Gourmet Salad, Carved Striploin or Pan Seared Salmon, Red & White Wine on each Table and the Birthday Cake as Dessert. Throughout the evening traditional music will be played.

Proceeds from the Ball will be used to provide Outreach plus Care & Comfort to the Marines and Families of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines.
